Software Developer Intern
DRWAbout the Role
As a Software Developer Intern, you will join one of DRW's development teams supporting network development initiatives or trading businesses. You will build advanced trading, analysis and risk applications, or advanced monitoring and automation systems leveraging cutting-edge technology. You will develop computationally intensive software under the guidance of senior technologists with the goal of deployment during your internship. Your work will include designing, developing, testing, and deploying proprietary software solutions, conducting data-driven research, and collaborating with software developers, quantitative traders, researchers, and business analysts.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy proprietary software solutions including MLOps systems, data pipelines, AI/ML development, GPU optimization, and full-stack web applications
- Identify innovative solutions to complex problems and communicate ideas clearly to your team
- Conduct research using statistical analytics on large datasets
- Collaborate cross-functionally with developers, traders, researchers, and analysts
Requirements
- Are pursuing a bachelor's, master's, or PhD in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, mathematics or any related science discipline and have an expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028
- Have exposure to multi-threaded applications, computational intelligence, algorithms, real-time programming or GUI programming
- Have strong understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms
- Exhibit excellent software development skills in at least one of Python, JavaScript (Node, React, and/or Angular), C++, Ruby, C#, Go or Java, and a deep curiosity to learn and absorb new technologies quickly
