About the Role

As a Graduate Software Engineer, you'll begin with a five-week Global Trainee Programme led by seasoned engineers and traders, where you'll deepen your knowledge of trading and financial markets, understand IMC's tools and systems, and learn production software development in C++, Java, or Python. Following this, you'll continue training at your local office with dedicated mentorship from an experienced software engineer. On Execution teams, you might build advanced networks and proprietary algorithms, while Strategy teams focus on systems powering big data and cutting-edge analytics.

Requirements

  • In your ultimate year of study in computer science, software engineering, or a related field graduating, and are seeking to join IMC full-time in February or August 2027
  • Proficiency in C++ or Java is required
  • A working knowledge of algorithms and data structures
  • First-class analytical skills and a desire to solve complicated problems programmatically
  • A genuine interest in financial markets (no prior knowledge or experience is required)
