About the Role

IMC is seeking an enthusiastic HR Operations Manager to lead its APAC HR Operations function on a 14-month contract covering a period of parental leave. The role spans the firm's offices in Sydney, Hong Kong and Korea and is a hands-on leadership position with real ownership from day one.

  • Manage, coach and develop a Sydney-based team of HR Generalists and HR Coordinators, setting clear priorities and building capability across the team
  • Own the employee lifecycle across the region, including contracts, employment letters, onboarding, staff movements, relocation support, offboarding and terminations
  • Oversee end-to-end global mobility and immigration across APAC, including inbound and outbound moves, intra-region transfers, international relocations, visa sponsorship, renewals and compliance
  • Build, automate and maintain HR operations efficiency, improve HR policies, and maintain accurate HR information systems including Workday and payroll data
  • Contribute to regional and global HR projects, partner with HRIS, Legal, Finance and Payroll, and support regional compensation queries and the annual review cycle

Because this is a defined 14-month tenure, IMC needs someone who can get up to speed quickly, keep in-flight projects moving, and leave the team in great shape at handover. It's a broad brief and an opportunity to work inside a high-performing global trading firm at a point of significant regional growth.
