Macro Analyst Intern

As a Macro Analyst Intern at IMC, you will participate in a 9-week internship programme in Amsterdam. You will start with classroom-based learning to understand proprietary trading, then apply your skills to meaningful projects and weekly trading challenges. Your work will involve preparing daily market analysis, analyzing major economic events, collaborating with analyst teams and traders to identify market opportunities, and conducting time series analysis on market volatility and patterns.
- Prepare daily analysis on headlines and trends
- Analyze central bank meetings, data releases, elections, and corporate earnings
- Work with analyst teams and traders to identify trading opportunities
- Complete significant projects including time series analysis and scenario building
- Participate in desk shadow sessions and attend workshops and social activities
Requirements
- In your penultimate year of studying Economics, Econometrics, Finance or STEM, graduating in 2028
- Demonstrated interest in the financial markets and macro economics
- Outstanding communication skills
- You want to make an impact on meaningful and challenging projects
- You thrive working in an environment where creativity, teamwork, and innovation are recognised and rewarded
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
- Must be able to start the internship on June 28, 2027
- To be able to take part in IMC's internship programme, you will need to obtain the required visa and/or permit to enter, stay and work in the Netherlands
