At IMC, Software Engineers don't just write code and design technology — they spot new opportunities, develop new technologies, and solve problems. As a Software Engineer Intern on the Software Engineering – Strategy team, you will be supported by a mentor and have access to pair programming and code reviews. You will work on real projects that provide value to developers and traders, building and supporting systems that drive trading strategies through pricing and risk calculations, and developing tools for analysing and trading financial products. You will work in Java and Python, collaborating closely with engineers and traders.
Requirements
- An academic background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Engineering, with a minimum Distinction average required; High Distinction preferred
- Have commenced your penultimate year of study
- Strong analytical skills and a passion for solving complicated problems programmatically
- Proficient in a programming language such as Java, Python, or C++. You should be comfortable working in Java or Python during the internship
- Demonstrated high impact across experiences, including scholarships, competitions, and internships
- Must be able to start the internship in May/June 2027
