About the Role

IMC's summer internship programme offers a comprehensive introduction to engineering at a leading global trading firm. As a Software Engineer Intern, you will work on meaningful projects while learning algorithm complexity, data structures, and software development lifecycle practices. You'll collaborate with traders, researchers, and hardware engineers, participate in hackathons and technology challenges, and receive mentorship from dedicated trainers and a one-on-one mentor throughout the summer.

Requirements

  • In your penultimate year of study in computer science, software engineering, or a related field graduating in 2028
  • Proficient experience in a programming language (Java or C++ preferred)
  • You thrive working in an environment where creativity, teamwork, and innovation are recognised and rewarded
  • You want to make an impact on meaningful and challenging projects
  • Outstanding analytical skills and a desire to solve complicated problems programmatically
  • Genuine interest in financial markets (no prior knowledge or experience is required)
  • Must be able to start the internship on June 28, 2027
