Software Engineer - Strategy

Strategy engineering exists to make sure traders and researchers have all the tools they need to run and analyse their trading at scale. You'll help traders maximise how many strategies they can trade and analyse specific moments to find new opportunities, working closely with the people who use what you build with short iteration loops and fast feedback.
The work is broad, spanning building tools that help traders orchestrate strategies across the full product range, building infrastructure that makes large amounts of data quickly explorable, and modelling risk and analysing trades. You'll work across a diverse toolkit including Python, Java, React, SQL, and any tool that solves the issue at hand.
Requirements
- Energised by problems where the brief doesn't exist yet; working out what to build is as much the job as building it
- Can move between languages without it slowing them down; the right tool matters more than a favourite one
- Likes working with stakeholders across the business and is good at figuring out what someone actually needs, not just what they asked for
- Can pivot: enjoys trying out new ideas quickly and scaling them once they've proven value, or throwing them out if they didn't work
