Trading Engineer

IMC's Trading Engineering team plays a critical role at the heart of a complex trading environment. The role focuses on making sure the firm can release daily in a safe and controlled manner, and on ensuring high availability, stability and performance.

• Troubleshoot and provide quick response to production issues, and solve the root cause of problems in a structural way.
• Help eliminate downtime using the latest open source technologies, translating trading requests into concrete technical requirements, and working with focus teams to create and implement new sustainable solutions.
• Coordinate, prioritise and plan changes to the trading software to ensure smooth exchange migrations and quick time to market for new features and software.
• Work closely with traders, quantitative researchers and a wide range of technologists such as developers, systems engineers, network engineers and performance engineers in a diverse technical landscape where many components interface and manage a high-volume data flow over a low-latency infrastructure to execute trading strategies.
