About the Role

Join Jump Trading Group's Production Engineering team to build, manage, and maintain sophisticated validator infrastructure and tooling for one of the world's top proprietary trading firms. You'll work with cutting-edge blockchain technologies including consensus algorithms, distributed systems, and cryptography, taking responsibility for on-chain infrastructure such as validators, light clients, and RPC nodes. The role involves improving monitoring and alerting systems, enhancing security properties of infrastructure, contributing to external partnerships, and collaborating with a globally distributed team to maintain high availability.

Requirements

  • A passion for blockchain technology and an insatiable desire to learn.
  • Willingness to move quickly, work in a flat, fast-paced team and juggle competing priorities.
  • Previous experience with managing proof-of-stake blockchain infrastructure, preferably on Solana or Ethereum.
  • A deep understanding of software engineering principles, Linux, Kubernetes, monitoring/alerting (Prometheus/Alertmanager), networking, and experience across both cloud-based and bare-metal infrastructure.
  • Prior experience with a range of orchestration and configuration management tools (Terraform, Ansible, and Salt).
  • Extensive experience designing, building, and maintaining complex systems.
  • High proficiency with bash scripting, and experience in at least one other programming language.
  • Reliable and predictable availability.
