DevOps/High Performance Trading System Engineer

Join Jump Trading Group's quantitative trading team as a Software Engineer. You will work hand in hand with traders and technologists to take ownership of trading issues, operational issues, and the deployment process for production trading systems. Your focus will be on making processes scalable and fault tolerant, involving writing and maintaining complex Python infrastructure and ensuring production servers are properly configured. You will be exposed to a wide range of interesting and challenging problems, cutting edge technologies, and have the opportunity to solve difficult technical problems in a fast-paced and energetic environment.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Python and Linux
- Strong debugging skills in both code development and systems infrastructure
- Good instincts for performance vs simplicity trade-offs
- Ability to make the right engineering decisions to achieve maintainability, extensibility and debuggability
- Self-directed, excited to take ownership of projects and be responsible for mission-critical systems
- You will be able to manage your own priorities and have the context-switching capacity required to work on several projects at once
