About the Role
The Financial Systems Specialist will join Optiver's Global Financial Systems team, serving as a platform owner and key support contact for critical financial systems. This role combines 70% platform ownership and 30% platform support, focusing on maintaining the stability and scalability of Coupa and Rossum platforms while supporting adjacent systems like NetSuite and Concur.
Responsibilities include:
- End-to-end ownership of Coupa and Rossum platforms, ensuring stability, scalability, and proper configuration
- Providing L1/L2 support across the finance systems landscape with ticket triage, incident management, and root cause analysis
- Acting as a trusted point of contact for finance stakeholders, translating system issues into clear business actions
- Identifying and automating repetitive support activities using documentation, process improvements, and AI-assisted tooling
- Developing and maintaining runbooks, knowledge base articles, and handover materials
- Supporting enhancements and workflow improvements while mentoring colleagues on platform consistency and reliability
Requirements
- You bring 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in financial systems support, administration, or platform ownership
- You have hands-on mastery of Coupa, ideally as an administrator or platform owner, across configuration, approvals, integrations, and supplier or invoice workflows
- You have experience with Rossum or a comparable intelligent invoice capture platform, or the aptitude to take full ownership of it quickly
- Exposure to the wider finance systems landscape, such as NetSuite, Concur, or OneStream, is a plus
- You have a strong interest in AI, automation, and process improvement to reduce manual work and improve support quality
- You take a proactive, ownership-driven approach to managing tickets, priorities, and escalations, operating independently on most decisions and knowing when to seek guidance on more complex ones
- You have strong communication skills and can translate technical problems into business language for finance stakeholders
- You have solid documentation skills and can create clear runbooks, knowledge base articles, and support materials
- You act as a role model for Optiver’s values of excellence, continuous improvement, ownership, and collaboration
- You are motivated to grow as the role evolves from support toward automation, improvement, and more strategic system work
