Quantitative Trading Internship (2027 Start)
OptiverAbout the Role
As a Quantitative Trading Intern at Optiver, you'll experience how research, technology, and trading converge in live markets while gaining first-hand exposure to Amsterdam's trading floor. Under the guidance of industry experts, you'll engage in simulated trading sessions reflecting real market conditions and work on projects connected to real trading questions.
- Deep dive into trading fundamentals including probability, market structure, strategy, and trading technology
- Develop trading skills and strategies using live markets with Optiver's real technology and simulated capital
- Participate in a research-led project exploring data analysis, market behaviour, and hypothesis testing
- Learn and apply AI to solve real-world trading problems
- Gain exposure to various trading and research desks
- Receive training from in-house educators who are former traders and researchers
Requirements
- Penultimate-year student in a STEM field, with the ability to work full-time upon graduation in 2028
- Possess exceptional quantitative and logical reasoning skills
- Interested in strategic games and/or competitive activities
- Experience in programming or scripting in Python is a plus
- Provide a CV in English
