SSO Floor Trader

As a SSO Floor Trader at Optiver, you will lead the firm's presence across U.S. options exchange trading floors. You'll serve as the primary link between electronic trading desks, floor brokers, DPM/LMM communities, and exchange personnel, driving liquidity provision, execution quality, and market structure opportunities across venues. Key responsibilities include making markets in eligible equity, ETF, and index options; representing the firm across options exchanges; building relationships with key stakeholders; tracking exchange rule changes and incentive programs; and optimizing quoting and execution quality in partnership with desk traders and institutional teams.
Responsibilities
- Make markets in eligible equity, ETF, and index options.
- Represent the firm across options exchanges; build relationships with floor brokers, DPMs/LMMs, and exchange officials.
- Track exchange rule changes, fees, and incentive programs.
- Partner with desk traders and institutional trading teams to optimize quoting and execution quality.
- Facilitate large or complex executions; monitor floor specific KPIs, fill rates and market share across venues.
- Ensure compliance with exchange rules and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Hold a bachelor's degree (required)
- Deep understanding of financial instruments, trading exchanges and markets
- Possess a high aptitude with mathematics
- Excellent communicator and team player
- Strong relationship-builder across traders, brokers, and exchange personnel
- 3+ years in options trading, market making, floor brokerage, or exchange operations
