About the Role

This role involves collaborating with development, production, trading, and back-office operations teams. You will design, deploy, support, and troubleshoot Linux server and desktop infrastructure, while documenting IT infrastructure, policies, and procedures. You will provide general user support and troubleshooting assistance, and participate in after-hours work and an on-call rotation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field
  • Excellent troubleshooting and creative problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Extensive experience designing, deploying, and supporting Linux servers and desktops
  • Comprehensive understanding of systems and network protocols (DNS, TCP/IP, SMTP, HTTP/HTTPS) and UNIX/Linux system internals (kernel, drivers, file systems, virtual memory)
  • Experience implementing, operating, and supporting Slurm, LLM deployments, and PostgreSQL
  • Knowledge of scripting to automate tasks
  • Experience deploying, supporting, integrating, debugging, and patching open-source and proprietary infrastructure services (DHCP, LDAP, RADIUS, NFS, Kerberos, OpenSSL) (considered a plus)
