About the Role

The Core Engineering Markets team is responsible for providing Tower's trading strategies access to a wide and continually growing range of financial markets globally. In this role, you will design and architect a high-frequency trading platform for cryptocurrency markets, including collecting quotes and trades from and disseminating orders to exchanges around the world. You will manage and mentor a global team of developers across multiple regions, work closely with traders and business management to prioritize projects, and optimize the platform using advanced network and systems programming techniques to minimize latency.

Requirements

  • A degree in computer science or a related field
  • At least 10+ years of experience with C++ development, preferably in a trading environment
  • Proven experience leading and mentoring software development teams, including distributed or global teams
  • Demonstrated ability to design and deliver complex, high-performance software systems
  • Familiarity with cryptocurrency markets, exchange APIs (WebSocket/HTTP), and cloud technologies is a significant plus
  • A strong background in data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming in C++
  • Brilliant problem-solving abilities
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills in English for business purposes
  • Ability to communicate in Mandarin is a plus
  • Good understanding of Linux operating system and Networking (TCP/IP and UDP) is a plus
  • Knowledge of Python and shell scripts is a plus
