About the Role

The Low Latency Software Developer designs, develops and implements efficient code for various components of Tower Research Capital's low latency, high throughput production trading and research systems. Responsibilities include developing systems for easy access to historical market data and trading simulations, augmenting exchange simulators, coordinating with traders and senior developers globally to solve trading problems, building risk-management and performance-tracking tools, and staying current with state-of-the-art technologies in high performance computing.

Requirements

  • Software development experience as demonstrated through course work, research projects, or open source activities, preferably in C++
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science or a related field
  • Knowledge of Linux
  • Strong background in C/C++ and Python
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • The willingness to take on tasks both big and small
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in English
