Trading Operations Engineer

Tower Research Capital is a leading quantitative trading firm that invests in world-class engineering talent to develop electronic trading infrastructure. In this role, you will monitor high-volume live trading and portfolio risk, contribute to the automated trading operations codebase, and manage ongoing projects with Tower's support teams. You'll coordinate software and hardware upgrades, apply programmatic solutions to scale trading operations, and resolve discrepancies across trading positions, broker statements, and internal applications. This position combines technical problem-solving with cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline
- 3+ years of professional experience in a related field
- Strong software development skills in Python
- Working knowledge of Linux operating system
- Exceptional analytical abilities, strong communications skills, and experience making data-driven strategic decisions
- Strong working knowledge of PNL and Risk reporting applications
- Familiarity with current market structure and regulatory developments
- Ability to comprehend and diagnose problems in complex real-time systems with minimal guidance
- Capacity to work equally well independently and as a member of a team
- Strong understanding of trading technology and fluency in technical concepts
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving abilities
