Linux Engineer
Jane StreetAbout the Role
Join the team that maintains the critical infrastructure underlying Jane Street's technology. This broad role spans on-prem and cloud infrastructure across compute, storage, networking, and every layer of the stack from physical hardware to workload orchestration. You'll work on building in-house tools and systems, act as a Linux expert teaching specialist skills, automate work to increase speed and reliability, diagnose and resolve production issues under time pressure, and carry out scheduled platform changes like upgrades and migrations. The role treats Linux itself as your primary problem space, emphasizing relentless automation, production infrastructure management, and building systems rather than just operating them.
