Financing Specialist

We are looking for a financing professional to support and develop Jane Street's APAC financing capabilities across multiple asset classes. In this entrepreneurial role, you'll collaborate on immediate trading decisions and develop the firm's longer-term financing strategy while working with a broad range of internal teams.
- Optimizing financing capacity through improved inventory access, workflow efficiencies, and cost reduction
- Collaborating across trading desks on real-time and strategic trading decisions
- Maintaining and developing relationships with prime brokers and external financing counterparties
- Forming longer-term financing strategy and expanding financing activity
- Managing firm-wide financing constraints and comparing opportunities through cost-benefit analysis
- Building and improving infrastructure supporting financing workflows and initiatives
Requirements
- 3-7 years of related securities financing experience at a bank or buy-side firm
- Prior experience developing financing solutions at a bank, broker-dealer or buy-side firm
- Strong relationships with prime brokers and counterparties across the spectrum of APAC markets and financing structures
- Strong understanding of Asian market microstructure and mechanics, financing and stock loan markets
- Experience across multiple asset classes and financing structures is a plus
- Strong understanding and appreciation of risk and risk consequences in the context of Asian markets and products
- Excited and able to cultivate and manage relationships with prime brokers and other clearing, execution, and financing counterparties
- Strong analytical skills and experience performing technical data analysis to solve problems
- Intellectually curious and motivated to learn about how the financing role fits into other areas of the firm
- An effective communicator who works well in a team environment
- Fluency in Python, SQL or other programming languages is a strong plus
- Fluent in English
